Subject: 18756 Temp.Closure/Chatt.ChooChoo Festival Date: Fri, 24 Aug 1990 12:36:00 -0500 RESOLUTION NO. 18756 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF CERTAIN STREETS DURING CERTAIN TIMES AND DAYS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN BETWEEN SEPTEMBER 7, 1990 AND SEPTEMBER 9, 1990 FOR THE CHATTANOOGA CHOO CHOO FESTIVAL SPONSORED BY THE CHATTANOOGA CONVENTION AND VISITORS BUREAU AND OTHERS UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized the temporary closing of M. L. King Boulevard from Market Street to Cherry Street on Friday, September 7, 1990 from 5:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. for the Cajun Cook-Off at Miller Plaza; and the temporary closing of M. L. King Boulevard from Lindsay Street to University Street on Saturday, September 8, 1990 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 9, 1990 for the Jazz and Blue and Gospel Entertainment under the sponsorship of the Chattanooga Convention and Visitors Bureau and others provided that the sponsor shall set out flasher barricades and warning signs in accordance with the traffic control plan attached hereto and shall provide, at all times, an access lane for fire and other emergency vehicles.
